Youth with a mission

Who we are

Youth With A Mission is an international movement of Christian volunteers from many backgrounds, cultures, and traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Our purpose is simply to know God and make Him known. When YWAM began in 1960, our primary focus was to give young people opportunities to demonstrate Jesus' love to the whole world, in accordance with His mandate in

Mark 16:15.

Knowing God

Discipleship and Training School (DTS)

The Discipleship Training School is designed to help you grow in your personal relationship with God and in the transformation of your character. It gives you the opportunity to discover your role in God’s purpose for the world, and it is created for those who long to follow Jesus in new ways and with a fresh perspective.

It is an intensive 5-month program that includes a lecture phase and an outreach phase. During the lecture phase, you will learn more about God and His character while developing in a cross-cultural, community-living environment. The outreach phase focuses on putting into practice everything you learned in the classroom through a challenging experience where you will serve others and share the Gospel of Jesus wherever you go.

The DTS is a requirement to become a YWAM staff member and also to enroll in second-level schools within the University of the Nations.

Second-Level Schools

After completing the DTS you can continue your missionary training in any school registered through the University of the Nations (www.uofn.edu ).

In Argentina, we offer the following second-level schools:
• Strategic and Cross-Cultural Missions School (Ituzaingó and Corrientes)
• Culinary Missions School (Ituzaingó)
• Arts School “Artists in Their Full Expression” (Rosario)
Generational Leadership School (Ituzaingó)
• Biblical Studies School (Corrientes)
• Sports Leadership School (Ituzaingó)

what do we do

Our DNA

Evangelism

The love of Christ inspires us to use many creative means to make His message understood by any audience. We use tools such as music, arts, and sports o connect with people of all ages and build friendships that lead to conversations of eternal value.

When we work in other cultures and among people of different beliefs , Christ’s message of peace is our starting point. We believe that everyone has the right to hear this message, and our hope is to see communities of believers worshiping and following Jesus in every nation, tribe, and language.

Mercy Ministry

Our volunteers serve in areas such as agricultural assistance, healthcare, micro-enterprise development, construction, maintenance, and support for women and children at risk.

Our goal is to demonstrate God’s love through practical assistance to the poor and those in need anywhere in the world.

YWAM teams have responded to critical situations such as Hurricane Katrina, the Pakistan earthquake, the Asian tsunami, and Hurricane Maria, remaining long-term in the communities to support their recovery and development efforts.

Training and Equipping

YWAM’s training helps you explore and share your faith. A wide range of specialized training programs equips students with tools that can be applied in many different settings to communicate the love of Christ and engage practically in missions.

YWAM has developed five-month schools designed to provide training across various disciplines. In certain countries, it offers accredited Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees through the University of the Nations.

Working with Churches

YWAM works hand-in-hand with national and local churches in each country.

Every YWAM volunteer is an active member of a local church, and missionaries—both short-term and long-term—are sent into the mission field by their respective congregations.
